The Department of Arts & Culture will host a neighborhood engagement series, along with SASpeakUp surveys, to aid citizens present feedback. In the course of the Could 2022 election, voters accepted all 6 propositions in the 2022 – 2027 $1.2 billion municipal bond, which includes 183 money advancement projects and a history-large funding for community art.…

New downtown San Antonio artwork tells beholders ‘You Are Beautiful’
Thinking about the significant lettered signal that just appeared on the 1221 Broadway parking garage downtown? “You Are Beautiful” is a new public artwork by the Valence Group, which is not an artist but a self-explained “business growth consultancy of multidisciplinary dilemma solvers.” Valence husband or wife Robert Amerman described the privately funded piece of word artwork as a “love letter” to San Antonio. “We are huge advocates of the truth that we think San Antonians are wonderful,” Amerman said. McNay says welcome with $6.25 million landscaping makeover that brings the San Antonio art museum out of hiding
The McNay Art Museum will be celebrating something big on Sunday: the very first major renovation of the museum’s grounds in its 67-year history. The $6.25 million makeover, which took nearly two years to complete, transformed the grounds from an enclosed campus hidden behind wrought-iron fences and dense hedges into a park-like expanse designed to be more welcoming.
