Environmental campaigners resist mining for base metals, gold, and silver ore in Clare
Environmental campaigners have claimed they will vigorously resist any attempts to get started mining in east Clare, soon after the Division of the Setting approved a licence for a corporation to take a look at the probability. The division reported that Environment Minister Eamon Ryan intended to grant a prospecting licence to Navan, Co Meath-dependent Minco Eire for foundation metals, barytes, as well as gold and silver ore about Tulla in Clare.
