In the days pursuing the unforeseen death of University of Rhode Island Professor Richard Edward Sheridan, URI group users are remembering him as a focused, witty and heat guy who loved his spouse and children, his occupation and the seashore.
The 75-yr-previous landscape architecture professor and South Kingstown resident died the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 24.
Professor Emeritus Angelo Simeoni Jr. termed Richard a colleague and a brother.
“We laughed, we collaborated on tips and approaches on how to make landscape architecture at URI the finest possible system in the region,” Simeoni stated. “We conversed (and argued) about the best park, historic gardens, politics, architecture, Woodstock (the 1969 party), the miracles of the glacial New England landscape, healthy foodstuff, footwear (certainly shoes…) and the ultimate cup of coffee, which was to be observed in Vermont–only 3 several hours from residence.… Professor Sheridan was so special and special. Richard was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Shea) Sheridan. He was the partner of Diane (Togna) Sheridan for 52 a long time.
