    Cambridge Awarded $100,000 to Develop Artist-Designed Shade Structures that Provide Cooling Comfort and Opportunities for Social Connections in Select City Hot Spots during Warmer Months

    The City of Cambridge was a short while ago awarded $100,000 from the Metropolitan Place Planning Council’s (MAPC) Accelerating Local climate Resilience system to commission artists to style and design temporary shade pavilions for town parks. Shade structures in parks and plazas assist inhabitants keep amazing on incredibly hot days and develop social areas. The city’s two-12 months job, Shade is Social Justice, funded by MAPC, a regional arranging agency, is one of the approaches Cambridge is partaking the imaginative viewpoint of artists and designers to help the group adapt to global warming.
