In honor of Black Heritage Thirty day period, the Merced Multicultural Arts Heart (MAC) and Merced NAACP held a reception this weekend for a new exhibition honoring Black artists in the local community.
The exhibition, which opened earlier this month, operates by means of the conclusion of February and capabilities a extensive assortment of do the job by local artists Chavella Dobbins, TC the Diva and Eddie O. Rodriguez.

“We have artists who represent our African-American group and there’s a tale listed here to tell,” explained Colton Dennis, govt director of the Merced Multicultural Arts Center. “We even now have a great deal of work to do right here in our space, but this is a celebration of our artists and all cultures and backgrounds.”
The MAC, as the multicultural arts center is known as, also labored with its Satisfaction Heart to host arts schooling tasks and hosted gatherings to celebrate Black Heritage Thirty day period leading up to the opening of the exhibition, according to MAC workforce.
