Neighborhood art initiative works to amplify beauty in Hartford
Hartford’s neighborhood artwork initiative will allow local artists to bring colors of the rainbow to the bus shelters and electrical packing containers of Albany Avenue
HARTFORD, Conn. — There are new attempts to enhance the splendor of Albany Avenue in Hartford. Grey skies are no match for hARTford like.
“Which includes everything from making neighborhood gardens to asking the neighborhood what task would make a change in producing your neighborhood and your block greener, cleaner, and additional attractive,” stated Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin.
The latest task in the building is a community artwork initiative. It will allow nearby artists to deliver hues of the rainbow to Albany Avenue, painting 9 bus shelters and 24 electrical boxes along the road for all to see.
The mastermind at the rear of this initiative is Janice Castle, who worked with other city leaders to make this a reality.

Castle described that out of 60 candidates, 33 artists were chosen for their techniques and sample artwork.
