New Bedford Art Museum Artworks renovation expansion plan update
NEW BEDFORD — The New Bedford Artwork Museum/Artworks! (NBAM) is inching nearer to its options for enlargement and renovations. “When you set visuals to it, and you put the narrative to it, everyone just gets so excited about it,” stated Ashely Occhino, NBAM’s government director after the museum unveiled the most up-to-date architectural renderings at an event on Friday. The museum’s approach is to renovate all a few floors of its building at 608 Pleasant St. Occhino claimed the most important focus will be doubling the dimension of the gallery and reconstructing the instruction space. Last week, the US state of Philadelphia unveiled its first-ever mural celebrating trans lives.
