Every year, UCF brings its best and brightest artists to Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts for a large-scale celebration of the things that make our world more interesting and beautiful. This year, UCF Celebrates the Arts is bigger than ever, with a multi-day production of an award-winning, family-friendly musical, concerts in the new Steinmetz Hall, lectures and discussions, multimedia events, chamber music, an expanded visual arts presence throughout the center and more. The new calendar year brings new artwork and new artists to Friday night’s month to month Gallery Wander. Justus Great Art Gallery, 827 Central Ave., will function new perform by Matthew Hasty, “a Memphis artist, (who) does a lot of Southern landscapes, and Delta scenes,” gallery owner Dolores Justus mentioned. “It can be type of appealing, mainly because the Delta is so flat, so much of the function is about the sky. OSKALOOSA — Artists in Mahaska County and beyond now have the opportunity to showcase their work at the newly-opened Envision Art Gallery. McNay says welcome with $6.25 million landscaping makeover that brings the San Antonio art museum out of hiding
The McNay Art Museum will be celebrating something big on Sunday: the very first major renovation of the museum’s grounds in its 67-year history. The $6.25 million makeover, which took nearly two years to complete, transformed the grounds from an enclosed campus hidden behind wrought-iron fences and dense hedges into a park-like expanse designed to be more welcoming.
